We are pleased to collaborate with the participation of Peruvian artist Rita Ponce de León in the Aichi Triennale in Japan that will take place between July 30 and October 10, 2022.
The Aichi Triennale is an urban international art festival, held every three years since 2010 across a wide region including the Aichi Arts Center and other city venues. For this year’s edition preparations are underway to build on the achievements of the previous four iterations. The festival will span a wide range of fields, synthetically exhibiting performing art and other forms together with a contemporary art core, and make Aichi Prefecture a beacon of the artistic avant-garde.
The artist Rita Ponce de León is currently studying body-mind techniques for human development at the Argentine organization Río Abierto. She understands working as a way to engage in situations that allow, through artistic and learning processes, the generation of meaningful human bonds.
She has practiced various forms of movement, including Butoh, a form of Japanese dance theatre, and participated in workshops that take body movement as the origin of knowledge and wisdom. She condenses her experiences in movement and learning with others into drawings, sharing her thoughts in the form of visual essays.
Her work has been shown at proyectoamil (2017; Perú), 32nd São Paulo Biennial (2016; Brazil), Kunsthalle Basel (2014; Switzerland), 80M2 Gallery (Lima, Peru), and Museum of Modern Art (Mexico City, Mexico), among other places.
She currently collaborates with Tania Solomonoff (choreographer), Vacaciones de Trabajo (a self-education project), Shinnosuke Niiro (poet), Yaxkin Melchy (poet), and Esparta Martinez and Sakiko Yokoo (dancers and kamishibai picture story show narrators/actors).

Nos complace colaborar con la participación de la artista peruana Rita Ponce de León en la Trienal de Aichi en Japón que se llevará a cabo entre el 30 de julio y 10 de octubre de 2022.
La Trienal de Aichi es un festival internacional de arte urbano que se celebra cada tres años desde 2010 en una amplia región que incluye el Centro de las Artes de Aichi y otros lugares de la ciudad. Para esta edición se están llevando a cabo los preparativos para que la Trienal de Aichi 2022 se base en los logros de las cuatro iteraciones anteriores. El festival abarcará una amplia gama de campos, exhibiendo sintéticamente el arte escénico y otras formas junto con un núcleo de arte contemporáneo, y convertirá a la prefectura de Aichi en un faro de la vanguardia artística.
Rita Ponce de León estudia actualmente técnicas cuerpo-mente para el desarrollo humano en la organización argentina Río Abierto. Entiende el trabajo como una forma de involucrarse en situaciones que permitan, a través de procesos artísticos y de aprendizaje, la generación de vínculos humanos significativos.
Ha practicado diversas formas de movimiento, entre ellas el butoh, una forma de danza teatro japonesa, y ha participado en talleres que toman el movimiento corporal como origen del conocimiento y la sabiduría. Condensa sus experiencias de movimiento y aprendizaje con otros en dibujos, compartiendo sus pensamientos en forma de ensayos visuales.
Su obra ha sido expuesta en proyectoamil (2017; Perú), 32ª Bienal de São Paulo (2016; Brasil), Kunsthalle Basel (2014; Suiza), Galería 80M2 (Lima, Perú) y Museo de Arte Moderno (Ciudad de México, México), entre otros lugares. Actualmente colabora con Tania Solomonoff (coreógrafa), Vacaciones de Trabajo (proyecto de autoformación), Shinnosuke Niiro (poeta), Yaxkin Melchy (poeta), y Esparta Martínez y Sakiko Yokoo (bailarinas y narradoras/actrices de cuentos ilustrados kamishibai).
