proyectoamil is pleased to invite you to the public presentation of HACIENDO CONTEXTO IV.
Organized by Martin Gustavsson and Rodrigo Gómez Olivos, the virtual exhibition on the specially created website presents the results of the collaborative laboratory of contemporary art in which seven Peruvian artists participated. For this event, we will have the participation of two guest curators, Miguel López and Florencia Portocarrero, who will dialogue with the organizers and artists about their work and the complexity of how to see the world in the current context. The website will also include archive material from previous editions of the laboratory.
The fourth edition of HACIENDO CONTEXTO had to adapt to the difficult situation we are living in and reinvent itself to work collectively, but remotely, with the selected artists. Pop Violence and the Costumbrismo of Pancho Fierro was the year's version of the laboratory. It proposes an analysis of current political violence in South America through popular culture and the archetypes present in Pancho Fierro's watercolors. In addition to this discussion was the debate on how to rethink art production from isolation.

proyectoamil se complace en invitarlo a la presentación pública de HACIENDO CONTEXTO IV.
Organizada por Martin Gustavsson y Rodrigo Gómez Olivos, la exposición virtual en la página web especialmente creada, presenta los resultados del laboratorio colaborativo de arte contemporáneo en el que participaron siete artistas peruanos. Para este evento contaremos con la participación de dos curadores invitados, Miguel López y Florencia Portocarrero, quienes dialogarán con los organizadores y los artistas sobre su trabajo y la complejidad de cómo ver el mundo en el contexto actual. En la página web también estarán los archivos de las ediciones anteriores del laboratorio.
La cuarta edición de HACIENDO CONTEXTO se tuvo que adaptar a la difícil situación que vivimos y se reinventó para trabajar en conjunto, pero remotamente, con los artistas seleccionados. Violencia pop y el costumbrismo de Pancho Fierro fue el título elegido para esta versión del laboratorio. El tema propone un análisis de la violencia política actual en América del Sur a través de la cultura popular y los arquetipos presentes en las acuarelas de Pancho Fierro. A esta discusión se le sumó el debate sobre como repensar la producción de arte desde el aislamiento.
