This first exhibition presents a group of works from the collection to which Juan Carlos Verme has been taking shape over the last twenty years. The pieces gathered here explore different approaches to architecture and landscape as environments that have a particular relationship to the void, that are independent of any links with scale or human presence.
Some of the artworks exhibited explore the landscape as a topography that goes from the factual to the dream, highlighting the real or imaginary accidents in each realm. Others note the investigation into aspects of architectural space that are essential yet go unnoticed: the walls meet at a corner, the dimensions of the occupied space, shadows and fissures. Alternatively, other works turn to a replication of particular sites, distorting the perception of real space with simulation.

Esta primera exhibición presenta un grupo de obras de la colección a la cual Juan Carlos Verme ha venido dando forma durante los últimos veinte años. Las piezas aquí reunidas exploran diversas aproximaciones a la arquitectura y el paisaje como entornos que guardan una relación particular con el vacío, siendo percibidos independientemente de sus nexos con una escala o presencia humana.
Algunas de estas piezas exploran el paisaje a partir de una topografía que va de lo factual a lo onírico, destacando los accidentes reales o imaginarios de cada terreno. Otras, investigan el espacio arquitectónico señalando los aspectos que, si bien le son esenciales, pasan desapercibidos: el encuentro de las paredes en una esquina, las dimensiones del espacio ocupado, sus sombras y fisuras. O bien, recurren a replicar sitios particulares distorsionando la percepción del espacio real a partir de un simulacro.
