Proyecto AMIL is pleased to present Botanical Readings: Erythroxylum Coca, a specially commissioned project by the Peruvian artist Ximena Garrido-Lecca, which will transform the exhibition rooms of the institution into a large botanical laboratory for the cultivation of the most emblematic, and at the same time controversial, plant of Peruvian history: coca.

For the third edition of AMIL- Art Sessions, Adriana Ciudad will present Rivers Flow Out of My Eyes*; a talk during which the artist will share the personal process and investigation that led her to develop Allá nos veremos, sin sombra y sin faz, her most recent exhibition at the La Tertulia Museum in the city of Cali, Colombia.

 

Antonio Paucar & Polen ceramic studio

Antonio Paucar (Huancayo, 1973) Currently lives and works in Berlin and Huancayo. In 1997 he studied philosophy at the Humboldt University in Berlin. In 1998 he started his studies in visual arts at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weisensee and from 2001 he continued his studies in visual arts at the Universität der Künste Berlin, UdK. In 2005 he completed a postgraduate program in visual arts with Professor Rebecca Horn at the Universität der Künste Berlin, UdK.

Proyecto AMIL and the Centro de residencias artísticas de Matadero Madrid are pleased to announce that Antonio Paucar and Polen ceramic studio, a collective formed by Elizabeth Vásquez and Frances Munar, have been selected for the mobility program of artistic residencies co-produced by Proyecto AMIL, AECID and Matadero Madrid within the framework of ARCO 2019, where Peru will be the guest country.
