En Perú, sabemos que la hoja de coca es irreductible al narcotráco; sin embargo, sus usos tradicionales se mantienen en una dimensión cultural más cercana a la informalidad cuando la especie vegetal logra vencer la demonización atribuida desde distintos poderes por casi cinco siglos. Resiste en espacios heterogéneos muy delimitados, como las prácticas rituales de la zona andina, donde se le atribuyen una serie de facultades sobrenaturales desde tiempos precolombinos.

On Saturday 3 August, Badel / Sarbach will conduct the performance-lecture We, the Foodimals, a fruit carving workshop and thought-provoking stimulus about high culture and popular culture in one. This performance-lecture condenses various themes within the exhibition: the triangular relationship between humans, animals and plants; the presence and absence of the body; and, through the use of tools, finding form in sculpture.

For the seventh edition of AMIL- Art Sessions, the designer Ralph Bauer will present They Call Us Nature: 80 variations on an image –a temporal exhibition based on the repetition of one image depicting a romanticized version of the natural world– that will serve as a background for a conversation between the designer and architect Paulo Dam about nature and us, images and text, and narration with images.
